Genome Dynamics International (GDI) provides a unique biomarker discover platform to elucidate difficult to diagnose or difficult to treat diseases. GDI’s approach is novel in that it uses blood derived immune cells as a means to provide a reporter function that mirrors activity in the organs affected by the disease. This is a revolutionary way of discovering and developing new blood tests compared with earlier approaches which only interrogate the diseased tissue or organ.
The market space is ripe for such a technology since GDI’s approach can potentially decrease the need for invasive procedures such as biopsy or surgery. We have initially focused on the urinary incontinence/overactive bladder (OAB) market, since we have demonstrated proof of principal in this disease state with the generation of NEW biomarkers to serve as simple blood tests in this disease space which are currently being validated.
GDI is in the process of applying its proprietary approach to other diseases including cancers of the pancreas, breast and prostate.
